Tinubu Heads to Ibadan for Ladoja’s Coronation as Olubadan

President Bola Tinubu has departed Abuja for Ibadan to attend the coronation ceremony of Senator Rashidi Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The President’s aircraft took off from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Friday.
Tinubu will lead a delegation of high-profile dignitaries to witness the historic event at the iconic Mapo Hall. Other notable attendees include former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, and prominent Yoruba monarchs.
The coronation ceremony marks the formal installation of Ladoja, a former Oyo State Governor, as the paramount ruler of Ibadanland, following the passing of Oba Owolabi Olakulehin on July 7, 2025.
The event is expected to draw thousands of Ibadan sons and daughters, as well as notable personalities from across Nigeria.
The Oyo State Government has put in place extensive security arrangements, deploying over 2,000 operatives to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free event.
The coronation ceremony will be broadcast live on state and national television, as well as streamed online, to reach a global audience.
