Breaking News: Tragedy as Police Vehicle Somersaults Along Aba-Owerri Road
A Toyota Sienna vehicle conveying Nigerian Police Force personnel was involved in an accident along the Aba/Owerri Road.
The cause of the crash has not yet been ascertained, but witnesses reported that the vehicle overturned, or somersaulted.
Footage obtained on social media shows the disturbing scene, with at least three police officers lying unconscious on the ground, while others may have been trapped inside the wreckage. Emergency responders and bystanders quickly arrived at the scene to provide aid and rescue those still trapped in the vehicle.
The Abia State Police Command’s spokesperson, Maureen Chioma Chinaka, was contacted for comment, but stated that she would need to receive an official briefing before providing further information on the incident.
