Lagos State APC governorship candidate for 2027 and current Deputy Governor, Femi Hamzat has stepped up engagements with Christian communities in the state as part of his preparations for the 2027 election. He shared details of the visits on his social media account on Sunday.

Hamzat attended the 19th anniversary of the Love of Christ Generation Church in Oniru. He congratulated the church for its years of service and impact in the community and wished it greater blessings in the years ahead.

He also visited Harvesters International Christian Centre, where he met Pastor Bolaji Idowu and members of the congregation during the AWAKENING 2026 programme.

Hamzat described the gathering as a moment of reflection and hope, saying unity and shared values could help make Lagos a better state for everyone.

During the event, Pastor Idowu urged Hamzat to prioritise the welfare of the people if elected. He noted the current economic hardship and prayed for a more comfortable life for citizens, free from the pressures that push some into crime or other desperate measures.

Hamzat further visited the leadership of Christ Embassy, led by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. He praised the role of faith-based organisations in supporting families, empowering young people and building communities, stressing that real progress comes when everyone works together.
