Manchester United Former Star Louis Saha Amasses £4.3 Billion Portfolio, Trails World’s Richest Player, Faiq Bolkiah

Ex-Tottenham, Everton, and Manchester United forward Louis Saha has built a staggering £4.3 billion fortune since retiring from football, but his wealth is dwarfed by the world’s richest player, Faiq Bolkiah.

Saha, who won two league titles, the Champions League, and a League Cup during his playing career at Old Trafford, has made a highly profitable switch to business with his AxisStars sports firm.

The company, which Saha co-founded with former marketing executive, Kate Hamer, connects professional sports persons and entertainers with good partners and has over 500 former sports stars on its roster. Saha’s business acumen has paid off, with AxisStars generating huge revenues and making him one of the wealthiest former footballers in the world.

However, Saha’s fortune is dwarfed by Bolkiah’s vast wealth. The 26-year-old winger, who is the nephew of the Sultan of Brunei, is one of many heirs to a £16 billion fortune. Bolkiah, who has represented Southampton, Chelsea, and Leicester, now competes in Thailand’s top league and has an estimated wealth that surpasses even Cristiano Ronaldo’s £600 million fortune.

Saha’s entrepreneurial success mirrors his hard work and dedication. In a conversation with The Guardian, he revealed that he still receives requests for advice from former teammates and uses his expertise in developing propositions to assist sportspersons and other public figures in their careers.

“I still get asked for advice by different people on a daily basis,” Saha said. “For instance, my agent called me up and told me he had a young French footballer whom he wanted to bring to England. He asked me how he could create a customised training programme. I connected him with people I used to work with.”

Bolkiah, on the other hand, has only just returned to the pitch after a nearly 350-day absence due to injury. He marked the occasion by writing on Instagram: “Almost one year since my injury, Feels great to be back out there.” Bolkiah, for all his wealth and familial connections, is eager to make a career for himself in football and establish a reputation in the sport.

The disparity between Saha’s and Bolkiah’s fortune highlights the astronomical disparities of wealth between past and current footballers. While Saha’s £4.3 billion fortune is impressive, it is dwarfed by comparison to the gigantic fortune of Bolkiah, valued at over £16 billion. As the world’s wealthiest player, Bolkiah’s fortune is testament to the staggering wealth and privilege available in football.
