Otedola’s Memoir to Hit Shelf in August

Billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola is gearing up to publish his long-awaited memoir, Making It Big: Lessons from a Life in Business, under FO Books, with release scheduled for August 18, 2025.

The forthcoming book has already stirred widespread interest, as leaked excerpts reveal candid reflections on the toughest periods of his career.

Otedola recounted the toll of plunging oil prices and the naira’s devaluation, describing how quickly banks that once courted him turned hostile.

“One moment, I was the darling of the banks, who did everything in the world to court me, do business with me, give me loans, take deposits from me.

They would send bewitching ladies to make their offers more convincing, and now I was waking up to the sight of hefty, barrel-chested men standing menacingly in front of my gate, waiting for the moment I’d step out of my compound,” he wrote.

The release has also become a family affair, with his daughters publicly celebrating the project. Actress and fashion influencer Temi Otedola thanked her father for sharing his “infinite wisdom” both privately and now through the memoir, pairing her tribute with a recreated childhood photo.

Similarly, Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, revealed she had attempted to sneak a preview of the book before its official release.

The Otedolas, still in high spirits following Temi’s recent wedding to musician Mr Eazi, appear united in supporting their patriarch as he unveils untold stories of his business journey.
