Oyo APC Mourns Shooting Stars Assistant Coach, Akin Olowookere

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has expressed deep shock over the sudden death of Akin Olowookere, assistant coach of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), who slumped and died on Monday morning during a team training session in Ogun State.

Olowookere was with the Oluyole Warriors in preparation for a scheduled match later in the day when the tragic incident occurred.

In a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, and released in Ibadan, the APC described the death as a devastating blow that came at a critical moment in the team’s rebuilding efforts.

“Olowookere’s passing is a great loss not only to his family but also to the 3SC family and the global soccer community,” Sadare said. “We had noted the enthusiasm and passion with which the new coaching crew embraced the challenge of reviving our darling team. Coach Olowookere was expected to play a vital role in changing the record of 3SC’s poor performance in the last 26 years, but the unfortunate incident has robbed us of his service.”

The party extended its condolences to the family of the late coach, the management and staff of 3SC, and supporters of the Oluyole Warriors worldwide.

“May God rest his soul and grant his family, friends, and associates the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss,” the statement concluded.
