Okpebholo Nominates Afegbua and Three Others as Commissioner-Designate
The Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has sanctioned the nomination of Prince Kassim Afegbua, Ohimai Ehijimetor, Eugene Abdallah, and Honorable Godwin Afekokhe Esheshi as Commissioner-Designates for the state.
Afegbua, who previously served as Special Adviser on Media to former Governor Adams Oshiomhole, also held the position of Commissioner for Information and Orientation during that administration.
A statement endorsed by the Secretary to the Edo State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, indicated that the nominations of the aforementioned individuals will be submitted to the State House of Assembly for deliberation and confirmation.
“The Governor has additionally approved the appointment of Aigbogun Collins, the erstwhile Chairman of Esan West Local Government Council, as Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Mobilization, and Osobase Oboaguina as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Mobilization, Edo Central,” the statement concluded.
