FintechNGR Readies DevTribe 2025 to Empower Nigeria’s Tech Talent

As Nigeria’s digital economy expands, the Fintech Association of Nigeria (FintechNGR) is intensifying its push to strengthen local software development with its upcoming developer-focused event, DevTribe 2025.

The one-day conference, scheduled for August 23 at The Zone, Gbagada, Lagos, will bring together software engineers, startup founders, corporate players, and regulators for hands-on technical sessions, networking, and industry dialogue.

Speaking on the conference’s objectives, FintechNGR President Ade Bajomo said the initiative is part of the association’s broader commitment to building technical capacity and addressing skills shortages in the country’s fintech ecosystem.

“This is not just about gathering developers,” Bajomo said. “It’s about investing in the people building the future of fintech and ensuring they have access to the tools, knowledge and opportunities to succeed.”

With the theme “Trends, Tools & Tech Stacks for Modern Developers,” the conference will cover cutting-edge topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and scalable infrastructure.

Sessions will include keynote speeches, lightning talks, developer-led workshops, and a tech career fair.
Executive Secretary of FintechNGR, Yetunde Adesanya, said the event was designed to open doors for a wider range of participants in the sector.

“We’re creating a space where talent and opportunity can meet, regardless of background or experience level,” she said.

DevTribe 2025 will also serve as a platform for startups, talent development platforms, and policymakers to explore ways to strengthen Nigeria’s innovation pipeline and create a sustainable tech workforce.

The event is a key component of FintechNGR’s ongoing efforts to support Nigeria’s shift toward a knowledge-based economy by nurturing homegrown digital talent.
