Trump Urges Israel to Ensure Food Delivery in Gaza, Cites Starvation Crisis

U.S. President Donald Trump has called on Israeli authorities to ensure the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, citing what he described as a “real starvation” crisis in the war-torn Palestinian territory.

Speaking during a public appearance on Monday, Trump expressed alarm over reports of widespread hunger and malnutrition among Gaza’s civilian population. He urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to take direct responsibility for facilitating aid access, emphasizing that ensuring food reaches those in need must be a priority.

“I want him to make sure they get the food,” Trump said, referring to Netanyahu. “Some of those kids what I’ve seen it’s real. That’s real starvation.”

Trump announced plans for the United States to help establish food distribution centers in Gaza, although specific details of the initiative remain unclear. He stated that Israel should allow unrestricted access for food and humanitarian supplies, calling the situation urgent and unacceptable.

The remarks mark a notable shift in tone from the former president, who has historically offered strong support for Israel’s security measures. His statement comes amid rising international pressure on Israel to address the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in Gaza, where ongoing hostilities and aid restrictions have left large portions of the population without reliable access to food, water, and medicine.

Humanitarian agencies have warned of famine risks in several parts of Gaza, with local health officials reporting deaths from malnutrition, including among children. Trump acknowledged these concerns, calling on global leaders to act swiftly to prevent further civilian suffering.
