Bauchi Govt Reconstituted Zungur University Council

The Bauchi State Government has announced the reconstitution of the Governing Council of Sa’adu Zungur University, Gadau, following the submission of the report by a Visitation Panel set up to assess the university’s state of affairs.
According to a statement issued on Thursday by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Governor Bala Mohammed, Mukhtar Gidado, the restructuring is part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to reposition the institution for academic excellence, improved governance, and sustainable development.
Governor Bala Mohammed has approved the appointment of renowned educationist and erudite scholar, Professor Gambo Laraba Abdullahi, as the Chairperson of the new Governing Council.
The governor described Professor Abdullahi as a seasoned academic with impeccable credentials and a deep passion for higher education reform, expressing confidence that she would bring a wealth of experience to the role.
In addition to Professor Abdullahi, other members of the reconstituted council include Alhaji Suleiman G. Abdulkadir, Professor Isa Yashi, Professor Sabo Hamma, Professor Mohammed Babangida, Comfort Audu, a representative of the Ministry of Higher Education, and a representative from the Office of the Head of Civil Service in Bauchi State.
Governor Mohammed emphasized the need for the new leadership to work collaboratively with the university management and relevant stakeholders to reposition Sa’adu Zungur University as a centre of excellence and innovation in tertiary education.
He extended his congratulations to Professor Abdullahi and the newly appointed council members, commending them on their well-deserved appointments and expressing his best wishes for their success in the important and challenging assignment ahead.
