Governor Radda’s Convoy Involved in Road Crash Along Daura–Katsina Road

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State was involved in a road accident on Sunday evening while travelling along the Daura–Katsina Road. The incident occurred as the governor was returning from Daura after attending official engagements. Initial reports circulating on social media suggested the governor sustained a fracture and was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre in Daura. However, the Katsina State Government has since clarified that the accident was minor and that Governor Radda is in stable condition. In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the governor’s office confirmed that Radda did not sustain any injuries. The statement described the incident as minor and said the governor remained in good health. “Yes, there was an incident involving the governor’s convoy along the Daura–Katsina Road, but we want to assure the public that His Excellency, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, is in good condition and did not suffer any injuries,” the statement read. The governor is said to be undergoing precautionary medical checks and is reportedly in high spirits. He has expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for protection and thanked the public for their prayers and concern. The Daura–Katsina Road is a major route in the state, frequently used by high-profile officials and dignitaries. Traffic along the route has increased in recent times due to political activities and condolence visits in Daura, the hometown of former President Muhammadu Buhari. There were no reports of injuries to other members of the convoy, and government activities have continued without disruption.
