Manchester City Sign Record £1 Billion Kit Deal with Puma

Manchester City have signed a record-breaking kit sponsorship deal with sportswear giant, Puma, reportedly worth around £1 billion over the next 10 years.

This landmark agreement is now the most lucrative kit deal in English football history.

The deal, which will see Puma continue as Manchester City’s official kit supplier, is estimated to bring in around £100 million per season until at least 2035. It surpasses the £900 million contract Manchester United signed with Adidas in 2023, and even exceeds Real Madrid’s £950 million deal with Adidas, making City’s new partnership one of the largest in the global football landscape.

According to reports, the contract reflects Manchester City’s dominant commercial position, fueled by their sustained success on the pitch under manager Pep Guardiola. The club has won six of the last seven Premier League titles and recently completed a historic four-in-a-row run.

Puma, which has been supplying Manchester City kits since 2019, will also continue to outfit several other clubs within the City Football Group, including Melbourne City, Girona, and Mumbai City FC.

The expanded partnership is expected to strengthen the global appeal of both City and Puma, particularly in key emerging markets.

Despite ongoing legal challenges, including 115 charges from the Premier League related to alleged financial rule breaches, the new deal signals a significant vote of confidence from Puma in City’s long-term commercial and sporting prospects.

With this agreement, Manchester City have set a new benchmark in football sponsorship, further cementing their status as a global powerhouse both on and off the pitch.
