Niger State Police Rescue 35 Kidnapped Victims from Boko Haram Captivity
The Niger State Police Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, has successfully rescued 35 kidnapped victims held captive by suspected Boko Haram insurgents.
The victims, including women and children, were reportedly being relocated to Yauri in Kebbi State when they were intercepted by police tactical teams.
The police arrested the driver of the vehicle conveying the victims and recovered two magazines and 60 rounds of live ammunition. The victims were provided medical attention before being reunited with their families.
The state Commissioner of Police commended the joint security teams for their efforts and urged the public to provide actionable information to aid in rescuing other victims.
