My Policies Stabilising Economy, Tinubu Assures Nigerians in St. Lucia

President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians in Saint Lucia that his administration’s economic reforms are stabilizing the country and attracting investor confidence.
He disclosed this during an interactive session with the Nigerian community, where he highlighted the challenging economic situation he inherited and the steps taken to address it.
Tinubu emphasized that his administration has made significant progress in rescuing the economy, citing measures to curb oil smuggling and stabilize the foreign exchange market.
He acknowledged that Nigeria’s per capita income remains low but emphasized the government’s commitment to driving inclusive growth and long-term economic stability.
The President urged Nigerians in the diaspora to continue projecting a positive image of Nigeria and remain law-abiding. He also advised them to remain focused, consistent, and hardworking, drawing from his own experiences as a student in the United States over five decades ago.
During the session, members of the diaspora raised concerns about the high cost of work permits and the absence of a Nigerian diplomatic mission in Saint Lucia.
Tinubu responded by affirming that steps were already being taken to address the matter diplomatically.
The meeting was organized by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission and provided an opportunity for the President to directly engage with citizens abroad. The community expressed appreciation for Tinubu’s visit, with some praising his efforts to promote Nigeria’s image globally.
