Australia Revokes Kanye’s.Visa Over Alleged Nazi Ideology in Hit Song, ‘Heil Hitler’

Australia has revoked Kanye West’s visa due to his song “Heil Hitler,” which promotes Nazi ideology.

Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke announced the decision, stating that West’s previous comments weren’t enough to affect his visa status initially, but the new song prompted a fresh review.

The song, released on May 8, coincided with the 80th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II. Burke emphasized that Australia doesn’t need to “import bigotry” and that immigration officials reassess each visa application individually.

West, married to Australian architect Bianca Censori, has longstanding ties to Australia.

However, officials declined to reveal the exact date his visa was revoked. This decision follows a string of recent entry bans by Australia, including those imposed on pro-Israel influencer Hillel Fuld and US conservative commentator Candace Owens.

Burke highlighted that Australian citizens enjoy freedom of speech, but promoting Nazism is unacceptable. “We have enough problems in this country already without deliberately importing bigotry,” he added, justifying the visa cancellation.

The “Heil Hitler” song features dozens of Black men chanting the title, with West rapping about being misunderstood and his custody battle with ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

The song ends with an extract of a speech by Adolf Hitler, sparking public opposition, including a petition in Slovakia with over 3,000 signatures against West’s concert.
