Frank Edoho Confirms End of Second Marriage, Reflects on Love, Compatibility

Popular Nigerian broadcaster and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire host, Frank Edoho, has publicly confirmed the end of his second marriage, offering a rare glimpse into his private life and emotional journey through two failed unions.
He made the revelation during a recent appearance on the “Tea With Tay” podcast, hosted by Taymesan, where he spoke candidly about love, heartbreak, and personal growth.
Edoho, renowned for his wit and charisma on television, disclosed that his second marriage to Sandra Onyenuchenuya ended in December 2022, but he had chosen to remain silent about it until now. His first marriage, to former TV presenter Katherine Obiang, also ended in divorce several years earlier. In the interview, he shared that despite his deep emotional investment and willingness to make sacrifices, both marriages eventually fell apart.
“Maybe I’m not good at marriage,” Edoho confessed. “I carried my partner. I can abandon everything for her. But people fall out of love. The two women I had been married to are not my soul mates.”
He explained that while love and passion are important, they are not always enough to sustain a lasting relationship. Drawing a distinction between romantic love and true compatibility, he said a soul mate is someone who deeply connects with you on every level—emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually.
According to Edoho, that kind of connection was missing in both of his marriages.
Edoho used the example of former Brazilian footballer Kaká, who was reportedly divorced by his wife for being “too good,” to illustrate the complexities of modern relationships.
“Sometimes, it’s not about bad behavior or cheating. It’s just a disconnect,” he noted.
The 52-year-old broadcaster admitted that the collapse of his second marriage took a significant emotional toll on him. “It hit me hard,” he said, recalling the pain of watching a relationship he had invested so much in fall apart despite his efforts to make it work.
Despite the setbacks, Edoho spoke with clarity and emotional maturity, emphasizing that he has no bitterness toward his former spouses. Instead, he sees the experience as part of a personal journey toward understanding himself better.
“I have learnt that loving someone with everything doesn’t always mean they are your person. You can give everything and still not be in the right relationship,” he said.
Frank Edoho’s revelation has sparked a wave of reactions online, with fans and fellow celebrities expressing admiration for his honesty and emotional vulnerability.
Many have praised him for opening up about a subject that is often shrouded in silence, particularly among male public figures.
As Edoho continues to thrive professionally, his story stands as a reminder of the complexity of human relationships and the courage it takes to face personal truths.
He remains one of Nigeria’s most respected media personalities, and his recent reflections have only deepened the respect many have for him—not just as a broadcaster, but as a man willing to share his scars.
