Israel Reels as Fresh Iranian Missile Strikes Leave Casualties, Devastation Across Cities
Israel was rocked by fresh waves of Iranian missile strikes on Sunday, triggering widespread destruction across several cities and sending first responders scrambling to rescue civilians trapped under rubble. The attacks, which represent a significant escalation in the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict, left at least six people dead and dozens more injured.
The Israeli military confirmed that Iran launched two salvos of ballistic missiles early Sunday, striking residential and industrial zones in Tel Aviv, Haifa, and other parts of central and northern Israel. Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) sources say the strikes involved between 27 and 30 missiles, with many intercepted mid-air. However, several projectiles managed to evade Israel’s Iron Dome defense system, resulting in the destruction seen in civilian zones.
One of the most troubling incidents occurred in Haifa, where no air raid sirens reportedly sounded prior to impact — a malfunction now under investigation.
The strikes are believed to be part of Iran’s continued retaliation for U.S. airstrikes earlier in the day that targeted key nuclear and defense facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
