Katsina Assembly Member Endorses Governor Radda for Second Term

A member of the Katsina State House of Assembly has officially endorsed Governor Dikko Umar Radda for a second term in office, citing his impactful leadership and strides in governance as reasons for continued support.

The endorsement adds to a growing chorus of voices within the All Progressives Congress (APC) and across Katsina State rallying behind Governor Radda’s administration. Since assuming office in May 2023, Radda has implemented a range of development projects, with a strong focus on grassroots empowerment, infrastructure, and security.

Speaking on the endorsement, the Assembly member praised Governor Radda for keeping to his campaign promises and delivering tangible benefits to the people of Katsina.

“His Excellency has shown exceptional commitment to improving the lives of citizens across all local government areas. We believe he deserves another term to complete and expand on the foundation he has laid,” the lawmaker said.

The move aligns with recent political momentum surrounding Governor Radda. Earlier this month, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Architect Ahmed Dangiwa, publicly declared his support for Radda’s re-election bid. Dangiwa noted that the governor’s developmental projects have touched all 361 wards in the state, emphasizing that he would not contest against him in 2027.

Additionally, the APC in Katsina recently welcomed over 40,000 defectors from opposition parties, a clear sign of growing confidence in the ruling party and Radda’s leadership.

The party also secured a clean sweep in the local government elections, winning all 34 local government chairmanship positions.

With political endorsements mounting and public support rising, the stage appears set for Governor Radda to pursue a second term in 2027, though an official declaration is yet to be made.

Observers note that continued political unity and visible progress on state development projects will be key factors in shaping the next phase of Radda’s political journey.
