Tony Elumelu’s Daughter Ogechukwu Graduates From Oxford, Completes Law Conversion

Ogechukwu Elumelu, daughter of Nigerian businessman and philanthropist Tony Elumelu, has graduated from the University of Oxford with a Master of Science degree and completed a law conversion programme.

Her father announced the achievement on Saturday in a post on his X account, describing the two accomplishments as significant milestones in his daughter’s academic journey.

Elumelu congratulated Ogechukwu and expressed pride in her achievement, while also sharing a video of the family celebrating her graduation.

Ogechukwu, also known as Tamara-Marie Oge Elumelu, is the eldest child of Tony Elumelu and his wife, Dr Awele Elumelu.

She previously graduated with honours from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she studied Politics and Philosophy.

Beyond her academic pursuits, Ogechukwu has developed an interest in entrepreneurship, business and career development.

She hosts the podcast Africa & Everywhere: Conversations with Oge, which features conversations with African entrepreneurs, business leaders and other individuals driving change across the continent.

In 2026, she also organised the Africa & Everywhere Festival in Lagos, a careers and internship fair designed to connect young Nigerians with employment opportunities, internships and professional networks.

Her latest achievement at Oxford adds to her academic background and growing involvement in initiatives focused on creating opportunities for young Africans.
