50 Killed as Casualties Mount in Overnight Israeli Airstrikes on Gaza

At least 50 people have been reported killed in a series of Israeli airstrikes on Gaza since midnight, according to the Hamas-run civil defense agency.

The latest wave of bombardments has targeted densely populated areas, primarily in northern Gaza, leaving widespread destruction and pushing the enclave’s already dire humanitarian situation to critical levels.

Medical sources at the Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahia reported that many of the victims are women and children, with families caught in the crossfire as strikes hit residential buildings.

Survivors have described scenes of devastation, with entire structures reduced to rubble and people feared trapped beneath the debris.

The airstrikes are part of a broader escalation in the ongoing conflict, which has seen a significant increase in civilian casualties in recent days.

Local authorities and international observers warn that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, already strained by years of blockade and economic hardship, is rapidly worsening.

The strikes coincide with the conclusion of U.S. President Donald Trump’s Middle East tour.

In a press conference, Trump acknowledged the severe humanitarian situation in Gaza, stating that “a lot of people are starving” and pledging that the U.S. would take steps to address the unfolding crisis.

As the conflict intensifies, calls for an immediate ceasefire have grown louder, with humanitarian organizations urging all parties to prioritize the protection of civilians and allow the passage of critical aid into the besieged territory.
