Tesla Boss, Elon Musk Unveils Flying Roadster Capable Of Short Airborne Leaps

Tesla chief executive Elon Musk has unveiled a new version of the Roadster sports car capable of performing short airborne manoeuvres, although its ability to sustain flight remains uncertain.

The vehicle was demonstrated on Thursday at a SpaceX test facility in Texas, where it used air jets to leap over obstacles and achieve brief lift off, drawing excitement and curiosity from technology enthusiasts and automobile lovers.

According to reports, the futuristic Roadster is equipped with advanced propulsion technology that allows it to execute short hops and hovering movements, showcasing a blend of automotive engineering and aerospace innovation. Musk described the development as a step towards redefining mobility and exploring the possibilities of integrating space technology into everyday transportation.

The demonstration, which attracted wide attention on social media, highlighted the vehicle futuristic design and its potential to transform the concept of sports cars. While the car did not sustain prolonged flight, experts noted that the brief airborne performance signals progress in ongoing efforts to develop vehicles capable of both ground and air movement.

Industry analysts stated that the innovation could open new conversations around the future of transportation, particularly in areas of urban mobility, emergency response and high performance automotive technology.

Musk explained that the Roadster remains a prototype with further refinements expected before any commercial rollout, adding that safety, regulation and infrastructure considerations would be critical in determining its broader application.

The unveiling has continued to generate reactions globally, with many describing the Tesla flying Roadster as a glimpse into the future of transport, while others await further details on its full capabilities, production timeline and market availability.
