President Tinubu Directs Security Chiefs To Rescue Kidnap Victims, Destroy Terrorist Camps Nationwide
President Bola Tinubu has directed security chiefs to rescue all Nigerians held captive by terrorists, bandits and kidnappers, declaring that no criminal group should be allowed to operate camps anywhere in the country.
The President gave the directive during a security meeting with heads of security agencies, where he emphasized the need for decisive action to restore peace and ensure the safety of citizens across the country.
According to reports, President Tinubu expressed concern over the persistent security challenges, including kidnapping, banditry and terrorism, and stressed that protecting lives and property remains a top priority of his administration.
He instructed the security chiefs to intensify operations, dismantle terrorist enclaves and ensure that all victims in captivity are safely rescued and reunited with their families.
He also reiterated that the Federal Government would provide necessary support, including logistics and intelligence, to enable security agencies to carry out their duties effectively. The President warned that criminal elements would no longer be tolerated to hold territories or operate freely, adding that the government is committed to reclaiming every part of the country from criminal control.
The directive comes amid renewed efforts by security agencies to tackle insecurity, with recent operations recording successes in rescuing victims and neutralizing criminal elements in different parts of the country.
Stakeholders have welcomed the President directive, noting that sustained collaboration among security agencies, improved intelligence gathering and community support would be critical to achieving lasting security.
The Presidency assured that the administration would continue to work closely with security chiefs to strengthen national security, uphold law and order and ensure that Nigerians can live and work in a safe environment.
