A traditional ruler in Kwara State has died just weeks after regaining his freedom from kidnappers who had earlier abducted him from his community.

The monarch, Oba Moses Oyinloye Iwedunmoye I, was abducted by armed men in August and later released after spending several days in captivity.

His death was confirmed by community leaders, who described the development as a tragic loss to the kingdom.

Residents and associates of the late monarch expressed shock over his passing, noting that he had only recently returned home following his release from captivity.
