Davido Announces August 11 London Premiere For ‘Oriade’ Album
Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has confirmed an exclusive live premiere for his forthcoming album, Oriade, set to take place in London on August 11.
The singer, fondly referred to by fans and industry peers as OBO, shared the announcement in a post on his official X account, revealing that the one night event will hold at the O2 Forum Kentish Town. He described the show as the first and only opportunity for fans to experience the new album performed live before its wider release, and confirmed that tickets are already on sale.
The London show comes ahead of the album’s official release, which Davido had earlier announced would arrive on July 31. Titled Oriade, the project takes its name from a combination of the Yoruba words ori, meaning destiny, and adé, meaning crown, translating loosely to the crowned head.
According to the singer, the thirteen track album marks a deliberate return to his original high energy African sound after a run of projects that leaned more heavily into pop influenced crossovers, and its release coincides with fifteen years since he first broke into the music industry.
The album is led by the previously released single I Know Who I Be, produced in collaboration with South African hitmakers Jazzwrld and GL Ceejay, which gave fans an early preview of the project’s direction. Oriade serves as the follow up to Davido’s 2025 album 5ive, which charted on the Billboard World Albums chart and featured collaborations with a string of international stars.
With the London premiere now locked in, anticipation continues to build among fans across Lagos, London and beyond for what promises to be one of the biggest Afrobeats releases of the year.
