American rapper, Cardi B has finally addressed growing speculation about her relationship with Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, saying her personal life attracts far more public scrutiny than that of other celebrities.

The Grammy winning rapper spoke in a video shared on her Instagram Story, days after she and the Udinese shot stopper were spotted sharing dinner together with friends in Venice, Italy. She likened herself to hip hop’s version of Britney Spears, insisting that intense public attention constantly follows her every move, more than it does for many other public figures.

Cardi B further claimed that she is often privy to information about the private lives of numerous other celebrities that never makes it into public reports, stressing that her own affairs somehow always end up under the microscope regardless.

Her remarks come after she and Okoye fueled fresh romance rumours following their dinner outing at a restaurant inside a hotel in Venice. The pair had earlier drawn attention weeks before when they were both spotted together at a Haute Couture fashion show during Paris Fashion Week, an appearance that first set off speculation about a possible relationship between the two.

The developing story around the Super Eagles number one comes at a sensitive time, as his former partner and mother of his child, a Dutch model, recently made public allegations against him on social media, accusing him of domestic abuse, infidelity and parental neglect. Okoye has yet to issue any public response to those allegations.
