I’m Alive, Healthy Confirms Nollywood Actor, Owolabi Ajasa as He Debunks Death Rumour

Veteran Nollywood actor Owolabi Ajasa has dismissed viral reports claiming he is dead. The actor, popularly known for his iconic police roles and the catchphrase “Ta lo pa chief?”, reassured fans that he is alive and in good health.

The rumours spread after an obituary poster announcing his purported demise surfaced online.

Reacting to the false reports in a video shared on his Instagram page on Friday, Ajasa said, “I’m still much alive in good health.” He also condemned those responsible for circulating the fake news, saying, “To everyone posting my obituary around, I’m saying back to the sender to you and your family.”

The actor addressed his fans in Nigeria and abroad, saying, “Good day everyone, my name still remains Owolabi Ajasa, your Nollywood police officer. I want to tell all my fans both in Nigeria and abroad that I’m still much alive. I’m alive, hale and hearty. There’s nothing wrong with me.”

The development has brought relief to many fans who were worried about the actor’s well-being. Owolabi Ajasa has enjoyed a long and successful career in the Nigerian movie industry. The false death rumour is the latest in a series of similar hoaxes targeting celebrities.

Ajasa’s quick response has helped put an end to the circulating rumours. Many have praised him for addressing the issue directly and with humour. The actor continues to entertain audiences with his unique style and memorable roles in Nollywood films.
