The Commander of the Enugu State Forest Guard, Dr. Akinbayo Olasoji, has announced the issuance of Headquarters Standing Operational Order No. 178/2026.

This comprehensive new regulatory framework introduces strict institutional standards governing the dress code, operational turnout, personal grooming, accoutrements, and professional appearance of all officers and operatives across the state corps.

According to a statement released by Assistant Superintendent of Forest Guard Geraldine Chiagozie, the guidelines are specifically designed to reinforce internal command and control, promote structural discipline, and establish a distinct corporate identity as the agency handles expanding field operations and increasing public visibility across traditional and digital media.

The new operational directive outlines mandatory uniform protocols, specifying approved attire for designated days as well as specialized tactical gear for bush-combing and other active field deployments. It further institutes specialized uniform codes for administrative personnel and the Provost Unit to ensure uniform standards and swift identification throughout the ranks.

Dr. Olasoji emphasized that these structural reforms directly align with Governor Peter Mbah’s overarching vision to build a highly professional, intelligence-driven, and technologically enabled security architecture capable of protecting lives, property, and critical forest reserves throughout Enugu State.
