According to the Police Prosecutor, ASP Yomi Osuolale, the incidents took place at approximately 5:00 a.m. on June 10 in Ado-Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State. The prosecution alleged that Taofeek unlawfully breached and entered the business shop and premises belonging to one Oluwatoyin Ilorin. Once inside, the defendant allegedly stole a pumping machine, a washing machine coil, and an Ox fan coil, with the cumulative value of the stolen items estimated at ₦170,000.
