Ogun Police Command Foils Initiation Rites, Apprehen 30 Cult Suspects
The Ogun State Police Command have successfully foiled a planned cult initiation ceremony, arresting 30 suspects in a coordinated raid across the state.
The successful operation was carried out by police operatives following actionable intelligence regarding a large gathering of secret cult members at a designated hideout, where they had assembled to initiate new inductees into their fold.
Acting swiftly on the tip-off, tactical teams stormed the location, cordoned off the perimeter, and apprehended the suspects before the initiation rites could be completed.
During the sweep, security forces recovered an assortment of dangerous weapons and incriminating items from the scene, including locally made firearms, ammunition, axes, and various regalia belonging to the confraternity. The command’s public relations unit confirmed that the 30 suspects are currently in police custody and are undergoing rigorous interrogation.
