Igboho’s Iru Ekun Apprehends Two Kidnappers, Rescues Captives in Osun
Personnel from the newly formed private security outfit, Iru Ekun Security Network, have reportedly arrested two suspected kidnappers and successfully rescued their victims during an operation in Osun State.
The security breakthrough comes on the heels of the security firm’s recent proposals to expand its grassroots footprint and collaborate with state governments across the South-West region to curb the rising wave of criminal incursions and forest-based banditry.
According to operational details emerging from the field, operatives of the private security firm intercepted the criminal syndicate along a major transit corridor within Osun State following a tip-off from local sources.
The armed suspects had successfully ambushed and abducted travellers, attempting to drag them into a nearby forested area to negotiate a ransom payout. However, the Iru Ekun tactical team tracked the movement of the abductors, cutting off their escape route. After a brief confrontation, the private operatives overran the position, neutralizing the immediate threat and taking two of the suspected kidnappers into custody.
All rescued abductees were successfully pulled out of the danger zone without sustaining physical injuries during the crossfire. Following standard administrative and legal protocols for private security organizations, the Iru Ekun operatives processed the rescued victims and immediately handed over the two captured suspects to the statutory law enforcement authorities in the state for formal interrogation and profiling.
The successful intervention underscores the growing operational profile of Sunday Igboho’s private guard network, which has been advocating for official state clearances to assist federal security agencies in flushing out criminal networks from vulnerable communities and school environments across the South-West.
