Matawale Commends Tinubu’s Transformative Reforms

The Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Matawalle, has commended President Bola Tinubu for his transformative reforms, which he believes will pave the way for a brighter future for Nigeria.
In a statement released on Monday in Abuja, Matawalle expressed his admiration for the President’s initiatives, saying they will secure his second term in office come 2027.
According to Matawalle, the Tinubu administration has made significant strides in various sectors, particularly in security.
He highlighted the successful neutralization of over 8,000 terrorists and bandits, the arrest of 11,600 criminals, and the recovery of more than 10,000 weapons in 2024 as notable achievements.
The Minister also praised the establishment of the Multi-Agency Anti-Kidnap Fusion Cell (MAAKFC), which has enhanced strategic coordination in the fight against kidnapping.
“The President’s commitment to security is unwavering, and the results are evident.
“The establishment of the MAAKFC has been a game-changer in the fight against kidnapping, and we are seeing a significant reduction in kidnapping cases across the country,” Matawalle said.
Matawalle also commended the government’s economic initiatives, particularly the creation of the Ministry of Livestock Development.
He believes this move will harness the agricultural potential of the North, promote economic growth, and empower millions of citizens. The Minister cited the recent decline in grain prices across the country as evidence of the effectiveness of the government’s agricultural policies.
“The Ministry of Livestock Development is a bold move by the President to diversify our economy and reduce our reliance on oil.
“The results are already being felt, with grain prices decreasing across the country. This is a clear indication that the President’s economic policies are working,” he said.
The Minister also praised the administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, citing key projects such as road construction and improvements to transportation networks in the North. He believes these projects are vital for fostering economic growth and development.
On the issue of Local Government Autonomy, Matawalle expressed his support for the local government autonomy law, which empowers local administrations to operate effectively, ensuring accountability and better governance at the grassroots level.
“The local government autonomy law is a significant step towards decentralizing power and ensuring that resources are allocated effectively,” Matawalle said. “This will have a lasting positive impact on the nation, as it will enable local governments to respond to the unique needs of their communities.”
