Nigerian Army Rescues 31 Kidnap Victims, Kills Five Terrorists

The Nigerian Army has carried out a successful operation in Zamfara and Katsina States, rescuing 31 kidnap victims.

The troops also killed five terrorists during the mission. This achievement brings relief to families whose loved ones were held captive by bandits in the region.

The rescue operation shows the military’s continued efforts to tackle insecurity in the North West. Soldiers acted on intelligence to storm the hideouts used by the criminals. The freed victims include men, women, and children who are now receiving medical checks and will soon be reunited with their families.

This latest success is part of ongoing military campaigns to restore peace in areas affected by banditry and kidnapping. The death of the five terrorists weakens the criminal groups operating in Zamfara and Katsina. Security forces have promised to sustain pressure on these gangs to make the region safer.

Kidnapping has been a major problem in these states, causing fear among residents and disrupting daily life. Many families have lost relatives or paid huge ransoms in the past. The army’s quick action this time demonstrates improved coordination and commitment to protecting civilians.

Communities in Zamfara and Katsina are celebrating the good news while calling for more operations like this. The Nigerian Army urged citizens to continue providing useful information to security agencies. This operation adds to recent gains in the fight against terrorism and banditry in northern Nigeria.
