Alexx Ekubo to be Buried on June 18 in Abia State

The family of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo has officially announced the burial arrangements for the movie star.

The talented actor passed away on May 11, 2026, at the age of 40 after a period of illness. His death came as a shock to many fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry who are still mourning his loss.

According to the family, a service of songs will hold on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at The Monarch Event Center in Lekki, Lagos, from 4pm to 6pm. Guests have been asked to wear white for the occasion.

This event will allow friends, fans, and colleagues to pay their respects and celebrate his life.

The wake keep is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 7 Ekubo-Okwaraeke Avenue, Aziukwukwa, Ujari Village, Arochukwu in Abia State. The main funeral service and burial will take place the following day on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Mary Slessor School, Amanagwu Village, also in Arochukwu, Abia State.

The family expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming love, prayers, and support received since his passing. They described Alexx as a man full of love, generosity, warmth, and faith who brought joy to everyone around him. They invited fans and well-wishers to join them in honouring his memory.

This final farewell marks the end of an era for the popular actor who entertained many with his roles in movies. As the dates approach, tributes continue to pour in from across the country. Alexx Ekubo will be remembered as one of Nollywood’s shining stars whose impact will live on through his memorable performances.
