South East Youths Stakeholders Council Condemns Blackmail of Seyi Tinubu

The South East Youth Stakeholders Council has strongly condemned the alleged blackmail against Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Atiku Isah, a factional leader of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), to apologize to Seyi Tinubu.
According to a statement released by the Chairman of the South East Youth Stakeholders Council, Hon. (Amb.) Eric Uwakwe (JP), the council accused Isah of orchestrating a politically motivated campaign of blackmail and character assassination against Seyi Tinubu.
The statement claimed that Isah’s actions are aimed at damaging Seyi Tinubu’s reputation and hindering his potential ambition to run for governor of Lagos State in 2027.
The council alleged that Isah’s claim to leadership of NANS is false, as Nigerian students had elected Comrade Olusola Oladoja as their national president alongside the NANS executive council. The statement described Isah’s actions as “laughable and highly condemnable,” and warned that his persistent blackmail against Seyi Tinubu and the first family would no longer be tolerated.
“We, the South East youths, have watched with dismay the shameful theatrics and dance of one Atiku Isah, who is claiming to be the factional leader of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS),” the statement reads. “For the records, Nigerian students elected Comrade Olusola Oladoja as their national president alongside NANS executive council. This is public knowledge. For Atiku Isah to lay claim as the authentic or factional leader is laughable and highly condemnable.”
The council vowed to resist any attempts to tarnish Seyi Tinubu’s image and pledged their unwavering support for him. They even offered to purchase his governorship nomination form in 2027, in a show of solidarity. The council warned Isah and his sponsors to cease their actions or face unspecified consequences, insisting that any effort to prevent Seyi Tinubu from contesting the governorship is “an exercise in futility.”
The development has sparked a heated debate in the Nigerian political landscape, with many calling for Isah to apologize to Seyi Tinubu and desist from further blackmail. Others have expressed support for the South East Youth Stakeholders Council’s stance, praising their bold move to defend Seyi Tinubu’s reputation.
As the 48-hour ultimatum expires, Nigerians wait with bated breath to see how the situation will unfold. Will Atiku Isah apologize to Seyi Tinubu, or will the South East Youth Stakeholders Council take further action? Only time will tell.
