Tinubu Visits Anambra Next Week to Commission Major Projects
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to visit Anambra State on Thursday, May 8, 2025, to commission a series of major infrastructure projects.
This visit highlights the Federal Government’s continued commitment to supporting regional development and strengthening ties with state governments.
According to official sources, President Tinubu will commission key projects in the state, including the newly launched Phase 2B of the Second Niger Bridge access road.
This 35-kilometer dual carriageway features seven flyovers and a bridge, designed to improve transportation between Atani, Obosi, Nkpor, and Ogbunike. The project is expected to significantly ease traffic flow and enhance commercial connectivity in the southeastern region.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo, under whose administration the infrastructure landscape of Anambra has witnessed significant transformation, will host the President. The Soludo administration has so far asphalted over 310 kilometers of roads in less than three years, with landmark projects such as the Ekwulobia flyover and bus terminal, the dualization of federal highways, and the Solution Fun City — anticipated to be the largest amusement park in West Africa.
President Tinubu’s planned visit to Anambra follows his earlier trip to Enugu in January, where he commissioned various developments, including Smart Green Schools, urban roads, and a cutting-edge Command and Control Centre with AI-enabled surveillance technology.
The visit is widely seen as a boost to the state’s development efforts and a testament to the collaborative potential between federal and state governments in delivering sustainable growth across Nigeria.
