Big Brother Naija Kicks Off Season 11 Search With Free Auditions in Lagos, Abuja, Enugu
Big Brother Naija has officially launched auditions for its 11th season, with organisers announcing that registration opened on Saturday, May 16, sparking fresh excitement among the millions of fans across Nigeria and the wider African continent who have followed the franchise since its debut.
The audition process has been structured in two stages. Interested applicants are required to register online via africamagic.tv/bigbrother between May 16 and May 20, filling in their personal details and selecting their preferred audition venue, date and time.
Organisers have issued a clear warning that the registration portal will close once capacity is reached, urging aspiring housemates not to delay. Those who successfully complete the online registration will then proceed to the physical audition stage, scheduled to hold between May 22 and May 24 across three cities Lagos, Abuja and Enugu.
The audition is free of charge, and organisers have stipulated that only individuals aged 21 and above with valid identification documents are eligible to participate. Multiple registrations, the organisers cautioned, will result in automatic disqualification. Successful applicants will receive confirmation emails containing full details of where and when to appear for their in-person audition.
By submitting entries, participants also grant the organisers permission to use their audition materials across global platforms and in perpetuity a standard clause that accompanies the show’s casting process.
The announcement arrives months after the conclusion of Big Brother Naija Season 10, which returned to screens on July 26, 2025, with 29 housemates competing for a ₦150 million grand prize. Imisi Ayanwale emerged as the winner of that season, claiming 42.8 per cent of the total public vote ahead of a packed final that also included Dede, Koyin, Sultana, Kola, Jason Jae, Mensan, Isabella and Kaybobo.
Over its decade-long run, Big Brother Naija has produced some of Nigeria’s most recognisable pop culture figures, with past winners including Mercy Eke, Laycon, Whitemoney, Phyna and Ilebaye, many of whom have parlayed their time in the house into sustained careers in entertainment, media and business. As Season 11 preparations get under way, anticipation is already building over what themes, twists and fresh personalities the new edition will bring to one of Africa’s most-watched reality television formats.
