PDP Pegs 2027 Presidential Forms at N100 Million 

 

The newly inaugurated Interim National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of Kabiru Tanimu Turaki has released the timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections.

 

The party has also pegged the amount for the Nomination and Expression of Interest forms, with the Presidential forms selling at ₦100 million.

 

This was part of the resolution of the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held on Monday.

 

A statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the Committee, Ini Ememobong, said the party has also approved the governorship form at N40 million, the Senate at N10 million, House of Representatives at N7 million, and State Houses of Assembly at N2 million.

 

The PDP also announced that female aspirants would only pay for expression of interest forms, while youths and persons living with disabilities will receive a 50 per cent discount on nomination forms.

 

The activities commenced with the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for all positions from May 5 to May 13, 2026.

 

Mandatory submission of party registers to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) by state chapters would be done on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

 

Ward congresses and primaries will take place on various dates in late May 2026, including special ward congresses for presidential primaries.

 

INEC has fixed the Presidential and National Assembly elections for January 16, 2027, while the Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections will be held on February 6, 2027.
