The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State has strongly denied recent claims of a crisis within the party.

Leaders of the party described the rumours as baseless and the handiwork of those who wish to cause confusion. According to party officials, the APC in Ebonyi remains fully united and focused on preparing for the upcoming elections.

They urged members and the public to ignore any story suggesting a split or serious disagreement among party stakeholders.

Speaking on behalf of the Ebonyi APC, a senior party official pointed to the ongoing nomination form collection as clear evidence that all is well. He noted that many aspirants have been coming forward to pick forms for various positions without any hindrance.

The official stressed that if there were any real crisis, the process would have been disrupted or delayed. Instead, he said, the exercise has been peaceful and orderly, reflecting a healthy political environment.

At the party’s secretariat in Abakaliki, the atmosphere has been busy but calm as aspirants arrive to complete their formalities. Several hopefuls have already obtained nomination forms to contest for state assembly and national legislative seats. Many of these aspirants have publicly expressed confidence in the party’s leadership and its ability to conduct fair primaries.
