Life Abroad Has Given Me Peace I Could Not Find in Nigeria, Says Bobrisky

Nigerian socialite, Bobrisky has said relocating abroad has brought him a level of peace and happiness he did not experience while living in Nigeria.

Bobrisky made the remark on Saturday in an Instagram post reflecting on his nearly two years outside the country.

He described his former environment as toxic, citing frequent conflicts, gossip and drama, and said leaving Nigeria had positively changed his life.

The socialite said he had gone almost two years without being involved in a personal fight or public dispute, adding that he was determined to preserve the peace he has found.

According to him, the period away from Nigeria has also allowed him to focus more on his happiness, personal growth and wellbeing.

Bobrisky left Nigeria in November 2024 following controversy over his six-month prison sentence for naira abuse.

He was sentenced in April 2024 after pleading guilty to charges relating to the misuse of the Nigerian currency, including spraying naira notes at social events.

His departure from the country followed a public dispute with the Federal Government over allegations concerning the manner in which he served his sentence.

Since relocating, Bobrisky has made several public comments about his life abroad, including his desire to prioritise his wellbeing and maintain a more peaceful lifestyle.
