Kenyan rapper and comedian, Stevo Simple Boy has announced the end of his relationship with his girlfriend, Brenda, after a DNA paternity test showed he is not the biological father of their son, popularly known as Dragon Junior. 

The entertainer, whose real name is Stephen Otieno, broke the news in a statement shared on Instagram. He wrote that he wished to officially announce that the two were no longer together as a couple, adding that the results had been difficult to process but that he had chosen to handle the matter with dignity and respect for everyone involved.

The announcement was accompanied by a video of the rapper receiving the results from a medical practitioner, Dr Peter Ngumba. The test was carried out by Microafia Healthcare, which Stevo thanked in his statement, and the results were reportedly delivered on Tuesday.

A report circulating online under the facility’s name says Stevo was excluded as the father after mismatches were found at 11 genetic markers, though the authenticity of that document has not been independently verified. The child is reported to be about nine months old.

The test appears to have followed public claims by Stevo’s former manager, Geoffrey Machabe, that he was the boy’s biological father. Machabe later withdrew the allegation. Stevo has not commented on that dispute in his latest statement.

The rapper asked fans and the public to respect his privacy as he goes through what he described as a challenging chapter in his life. He said his focus would remain on his music, his career and building a better future. His announcement has sparked debate on social media, with many fans encouraging him to stay strong and treat the experience as a life lesson, while others have used the story to call for stronger protections for men in similar situations.
