Floyd Mayweather Takes Stage at Trump’s Arizona Rally, Says America “Couldn’t Have Chosen a Better President”
Boxing great Floyd Mayweather Jr. took the stage with US President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Bullhead City, Arizona, on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, and used the platform to back the president and praise America.
Trump spotted the undefeated former champion in the crowd and called him up. He praised Mayweather as one of the greatest fighters in boxing history, spoke about his famous defensive skills, and joked about his “good looks” and his 50-0 record. Mayweather came on stage wearing a red “TMT” cap that matched Trump’s “USA” cap, and the two shook hands and hugged to loud cheers. Reports say he had flown with Trump from Las Vegas aboard Air Force One.
In his remarks, Mayweather spoke about representing the United States as an Olympian and about his love for the country. “We couldn’t have chose a better president twice than Donald Trump,” he said, adding that it was all about keeping the country strong and sticking together. He also declared that America is the best country in the world.
The rally was held at the Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport in Mohave County, a strongly Republican part of the state, as part of Trump’s push for Republican candidates ahead of the November 3 midterm elections. Trump campaigned alongside Rep. Andy Biggs, who is challenging Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs, and urged supporters to vote early as early voting got underway. Hobbs responded on X, saying Trump’s tariffs and the war in Iran were driving up costs for Arizona families. Trump also held a second rally in Goodyear the same day.
Mayweather’s appearance comes days after boxer-turned-celebrity Jake Paul attended a Trump rally in Ohio, and is the latest in a run of sports figures showing up at the president’s events.
