2027: Hamzat, Running Mate Visit MFM General Overseer Olukoya

Lagos State Deputy Governor and All Progressives Congress governorship candidate for the 2027 election, Obafemi Hamzat, has met with the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Dr Daniel Olukoya, as part of his engagements with religious leaders ahead of the poll.

Hamzat visited the cleric on Thursday alongside his running mate, Damilola James, and other members of his entourage.

The deputy governor disclosed the meeting in a post on his X account, explaining that the engagement provided an opportunity to discuss the values needed to build stronger communities and institutions that serve residents.

He said his priority remained understanding the needs of Lagos residents and pursuing development that would have a meaningful impact on their daily lives.

Hamzat added that listening to residents and identifying their concerns would remain central to his vision for the state.

The visit comes as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 Lagos governorship election, in which Hamzat is the APC’s candidate.

The meeting followed another engagement with the General Overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, which Hamzat disclosed on Wednesday.

According to the deputy governor, discussions with Muoka focused on the collective responsibility of building a Lagos that serves the interests of all residents.

He stressed the importance of cooperation and shared commitment in achieving a better future for the state.

The meetings form part of Hamzat’s consultations with religious leaders ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.
