Dangote Eulogises President Tinubu for Championing Reforms that Emboldened Nigerian Companies

Africa’s richest man and President of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for championing policies and reforms that have given Nigerian companies confidence to expand boldly across the continent.

Dangote made the statement on Tuesday at an event where his company was featured, saying Tinubu has taken bold steps to reposition Nigeria’s economy.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has actually championed policies and reforms that has given Nigerian companies, like ours, the confidence to continue to be bold on the continent,” Dangote said.

The business mogul was speaking against the backdrop of the Vision 2050 initiative and Dangote Group’s expansion across Africa. He has consistently commended the administration’s decision to remove fuel subsidy and liberalize the foreign exchange market, describing both as critical reforms that encourage investment, support domestic industrialization, and promote self-sufficiency.

At the launch of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery IPO at the Nigerian Exchange in Lagos on September 14, Dangote said: “I want to thank him for taking a lot of bold steps by removing the subsidy and democratizing the exchange rate. We will continue to partner with the government to ensure that we make this country great and we make Africa great.”

According to him, the progress being recorded at the 650,000 barrels-per-day Dangote Refinery is closely linked to a policy environment that allows businesses to plan with certainty and compete globally.
