EFCC Declares Pastor Isaac Chinyere Mbalaso Wanted for Alleged Fraud
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared 41-year-old Isaac Chinyere Mbalaso wanted over alleged criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust, and obtaining money under false pretence.
The commission announced the development in a public notice signed by Dele Oyewale, its Head of Media and Publicity, on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
According to the notice, Mbalaso is an indigene of Aba, Abia State, and his last known address is 11th Avenue, Prince & Princess Kauru District, Abuja. The EFCC released the notice to seek the public’s assistance in locating him and published his photograph as part of the wanted notice.
The agency urged anyone with useful information about his whereabouts to report to any of its offices in Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, or Abuja.
Members of the public were also urged to pass information to the nearest police station or other security agencies.
Mbalaso, who is also known as Pastor Dr. Isaac Mbalaso Mark, is the Chairman of the Beyond Borders Foundation and the convener of the Success Motivation Business Conference. He has been previously reported in the media for his youth empowerment and mentorship efforts, with his foundation reportedly training over 20,000 youths, women, and entrepreneurs in the FCT and providing business skills and grants exceeding ₦50 million.
The EFCC said the declaration forms part of its efforts to locate persons sought in connection with financial crime investigations. The commission regularly issues public notices seeking information on the whereabouts of wanted suspects, with the allegations against each person stated in the individual notice.
