Oyo State Deputy Governor, Bayo Lawal, has inaugurated a newly constructed office complex for a local government chairman, describing the project as part of efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery at the grassroots level.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Lawal said the facility would provide a more conducive working environment for local government officials and enhance administrative efficiency.

He noted that effective local governance remains essential to the development of communities and the delivery of public services, stressing that improved infrastructure can support better performance by government officials.

The deputy governor commended the local government administration for undertaking the project and urged public office holders to remain committed to initiatives that directly benefit residents.

According to him, investments in administrative infrastructure are important for improving coordination, policy implementation and engagement with community members.

Lawal also reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting local councils in the execution of projects that promote development and improve the welfare of citizens.

The local government chairman described the new office complex as a significant milestone for the council, noting that the facility would enhance productivity and create a more suitable environment for official duties.
