National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Nentawe Yilwatda, has congratulated the party’s four candidates who emerged victorious in the legislative by-elections held across four states.

Yilwatda praised the candidates after the Independent National Electoral Commission declared them winners of four out of the five seats contested during Saturday’s elections.

The APC candidates who won were Kallamu Usman MaiJama’a of the Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency in Gombe State, Husseini Datti of Dawakin Kudu State Constituency in Kano State, Okolosi Ator of Udu State Constituency in Delta State, and Yakubu Ali of Disina State Constituency in Bauchi State.

The five by-elections covered one federal constituency and four state constituencies across Gombe, Kano, Bauchi and Delta states. The Allied Peoples Movement secured the remaining seat in the Sakwa State Constituency of Bauchi State.

Yilwatda said the results demonstrated the support received by the party’s candidates from voters, while congratulating the candidates, party leaders, campaign teams and voters who participated in the electoral process.

He also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, security agencies and other stakeholders involved in the conduct of the elections.

The APC national chairman urged the newly elected lawmakers to remain focused on their responsibilities and provide effective representation to their constituents.

He described their victories as a responsibility to serve and encouraged them to remain committed to delivering purposeful representation.
