Bauchi Assembly Chief Whip Withdraws From 2027 Election
The Chief Whip of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Musa Wakili Nakwada, has withdrawn from the 2027 general elections.
Nakwada, who represents Bogoro Constituency and is serving his second term in the Assembly, announced his decision in a personally signed letter made available to journalists in Bauchi.
In the letter, the lawmaker said he was withdrawing his bid to secure the Allied People’s Movement (APM) ticket for the Bogoro Constituency seat in the state House of Assembly.
“I wish to write and withdraw my contest as the flag bearer of Bauchi State House of Assembly, Bogoro Constituency, Bogoro Local Government Area, Bauchi State, under our great party, Allied People’s Movement (APM),” he stated.
Nakwada said he accepted the development in good faith, describing his decision as part of God’s will for the peace, unity and development of Bogoro Constituency.
He also appealed to his supporters to accept the withdrawal and respect his decision.
“I have accepted it in good faith and as a will of God for the Peace, Unity and Development of Bogoro Constituency. I am appealing to all my teeming supporters to accept this my withdrawal as a will of God,” the lawmaker said.
