Blencowe CEO, Mike Ralston Resigns as Company Advances Uganda Graphite Project

Mike Ralston has resigned as CEO of London-listed Blencowe Resources with immediate effect, while remaining with the company through the end of 2026 as a consultant.

Ralston will continue working full-time on the company’s Phase 1 funding process and other key workstreams at the Orom-Cross graphite project in Uganda, Creamer Media reported on September 14, 2026.

Blencowe said the arrangement is intended to ensure continuity while it searches for a new chief executive. The board has accelerated the search and is already in discussions with potential candidates.

In the interim, day-to-day operations and development activities will remain under the existing senior management team, led by Chief Operating Officer Iain Wearing, who has primary responsibility for advancing Orom-Cross.

Executive chairperson, Cameron Pearce said the project continues to progress across several areas, including funding, engineering, downstream development and commercial activities.

“Orom-Cross continues to advance across funding, engineering, downstream development and commercial workstreams. Iain and the wider management team have been closely involved across these activities and will ensure continuity while we complete the process of appointing a new CEO,” Pearce said.

Ralston will also remain involved in the Phase 1 funding process and other priority workstreams until his planned retirement at the end of the year.

“Mike will continue to work with us on a full-time consultancy basis through to his planned retirement at the end of the year, supporting the Phase 1 funding process and other key workstreams,” Pearce said.

Pearce thanked Ralston for his contribution to Blencowe and said the company wished him well in his retirement.
