Former Accord Party Candidate Declares Support for Tinubu in 2027
Public affairs analyst and former political candidate Kenny Okolugbo has said he will support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. He made the declaration in a video shared on his social media account.
Okolugbo stated that he voted for Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election. He added that not everyone who did so is willing to admit it openly.
He also recalled that he contested for a seat in the House of Representatives on the platform of the Accord Party during the same election. Despite that background, he said his position has now changed.
According to him, his decision to back Tinubu is based on what he has observed of the president’s policies and actions in office. He presented the shift as a personal assessment rather than a party directive.
The statement has generated mixed reactions online, with some users questioning the claim and others sharing their own voting intentions for 2027. The comments reflect the ongoing political discussions ahead of the next general elections.
