Isinwa Chidozie Senator of Imo State has been crowned Mr Universe Nigeria 2026 and Mr Cosmo Nigeria after the grand finale at Skyview, The Lekki Coliseum in Lagos.

The win sends him to the Mister Cosmo International pageant in Vietnam in January. Organisers listed a new car, cash and other prizes worth more than N7 million among the rewards.

Senator is a model and sports enthusiast and an alumnus of Imo State University, where he was previously Mr IMSU. He has spoken of using the platform for his Reach for Books early-childhood education work.

Mr Lagos finished first runner-up and Mr Edo second. Other titles on the night went to representatives from Benue, Enugu and Ogun.

Male pageants still sit in the shadow of the bigger women’s contests in Nigeria. A state title, a national sash and a ticket to Vietnam are how this circuit measures a win. Senator now has all three.
